Evening my autumnal rosey apples!
Hope you’re all well!
Today’s post is all about fake tan and the fabulous new ‘Bondi Sands 1 Hour Express mousse’ that I’ve been using loads of recently. Now I’ve always been a huge fan of self tan, and have probably been slapping it on since the age of about 16. Even though I’m not exactly the palest person in the world, I just can’t get enough of a healthy beach glow, be it natural or not, am I right? I know there are lots of people out there who aren’t down for a good ol’ bronze and would prefer to let their natural skin tone shine through-and if that’s you- I honestly praise you because that is something I’m just not comfortable with doing! I so wish I could embrace my fairer skin colour but I can’t even stand it when you’re around 4 or 5 days into the tan and there’s only a slight patchy tint left over, haha! No thankyou, please and goodbye.
But anyway, if you’re like me, and love to give yourself a good full-body bronze, then look no further than this lil beauty of a product! I was so excited when Bondi Sands released this because I’m a huge lover of their Ultra Dark Mousse, and Liquid Gold Tanning Oil, so for them to launch a dark express foam that develops in an hour, was the icing on the bloody cake!
So when it came to testing this out, I decided that (even though I’m sure it does provide you with a gorgeous glow in 1 hour) that that just wasn’t long enough for my liking- so I proceeded to sleep in it overnight and risk the chance of potentially waking up an actual oompaloompa. I can confirm I didn’t turn turn into an oompaloompa but instead looked like I had been out in the sun for about 100 hours straight- it gives a very deep brown tan guide but don’t be scared by it!
After a good rinse off in the shower, I was left with a beautiful golden colour with natural looking olive undertones, a flawless finish and no streakiness at all! Plus it’s really lovely to apply and dries mega quickly too (so you’re not bimbling about naked for half hour trying to dry off haha)!
And in regards to how long it lasts I’d say that personally, the colour begins to fade after a couple days but you’re definitely still left with a hint of something after 5 or 6 days for sure-which is pretty good going if you ask me! Of course you can always top it up if you wanted to and not if you didn’t- it’s just your personal preference!
I also don’t think you should be tricked into believing you can only purchase this if you’re after a very dark tan, because you could absolutely get away with applying a thin layer and perhaps only leaving it on for half hour or so. That way you’d achieve a lovely subtle glow, that you could build up if you wanted to and not if you didn’t, which I think is great for if you’re fairer or are maybe just wanting to start off light to see how you feel about it.
So anyway that’s a little review on Bondi Sands new 1 Hour Express Foam- I would highly recommend it (it’s definitely going to be a firm favourite for a while that’s for sure), so go andcheck it out if you fancy switching up tans or if you’re new to Bondi and are wondering what to purchase from their range to start off!
A few images of the colour result are below, (which was one morning after I had rinsed off a night’s worth of wallowing in it haha)!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope this post has been a good insight into Bondi Sand’s new foam self tan! Have any of you guys tried out this product yet? If not, are you tempted to march down to Superdrug immediately and buy or are you steering well away? I’d love to know your thoughts!
