Good afternoon sweeties!
How are we all?
Today’s post is on a few lil’ lip products I’ve recently discovered from Kiko Cosmetics (which personally I think is a brand that definitely isn’t raved about as much as it should be)! Now everyone knows how much I love a good lippy, I’m constantly on the look out for new products to try and my collection is ever growing by the month! (Excessive but I’m literally uncontrollable).
So anyway a little while ago, I popped into my local Kiko store for a browse and came across some amazing lip pencils that I just couldn’t leave without! Now I’m a fan of Kiko Cosmetics anyway – their products are sooo affordable yet such amazing quality – and I’m honestly an even bigger fan after coming across these lil’ beauties!
So firstly, let me talk about the three gorgeous lip liners I picked up. It was such a struggle to choose from all the beautiful colours but I managed to narrow it down to just these three, as I decided I’d get a lot of use out of them as they’re natural enough for every day makeup.
This is a lovely cashmere beige shade that honestly goes with pretty much all the nude lipsticks I own! I wear this most days and it’s a beautiful deep, rich colour that really lasts! It’s just one of those lipliners that seems to work great as an outline for most pinks and nudes out there! Bonus!
Now I actually use this as a lip colour rather than a liner but it works fab as both! It’s a delicate texture that glides super easily (which is why I adore using it all over my lips) and it’s also waterproof and transfer-resistant which let’s be honest, is always ideal! It’s a lovely natural pink shade so it’s perfect to line your lips before applying a pink lip colour, but is also minimal enough to wear all over without it looking too much – perfect for every day!
This is probably the most daring and bold of the three and not usually something I’d choose to wear but anyhow, I thought it would be nice to have a change- and I’m so glad I did! I can’t wait to wear this to absolute death this winter as it’s just such a perfect rosey pink shade that will be perfect for the festive season! You know those days when you want to create a Christmassy makeup look without having to go the whole hog with red lips and gold eyeshadow, but still want a pop of festive colour? This is the one for that look!
Next up, are two gorgeous ‘lip gloss pencils’ that are just the most creamiest and pigmented products EVER! Okay maybe that’s a bit exaggerated but these are definitely my top favourite products I’ve ever purchased from Kiko! I’ve also never really come across lip gloss pencils as such so this was a very exciting discovery!
Now I’m not actually a fan of lip glosses to be truthful, they’re just not something I’ve ever got along with. I’ve always wanted to like them but I can’t seem to? I personally find them far more hassle than they’re worth, they don’t ever last and your hair is just constantly stuck to your lips! And sorry, but there is nothing worse than hair in the mouth! So I’ve stuck to my lipsticks and have been very content with that… until I encountered these lil’ bad boys.
Now I wouldn’t say they’re full on lipglosses at all, they’re more of a mix of a gloss and a lipstick? Perhaps more of a satin finish but a glossy satin, if you get my drift? Does that make any sense at all? No, I’m fairly sure it doesn’t but basically; they’re extremelyyy pigmented (honestly, like you wouldn’t believeee), are super duper creamy (so they’re a dream to apply), last for hours on end and due to the unusual finish they provide (ya know, the one that I can’t seem to explain) – there’s no ‘hair stuck to the lip’ palavas! BUT you get the gorgeous glossy – satin shine that you’re after! Win-win.
A mauvey-beige shade that completely coats the lips in colour and moisture that lasts all day!
A natural pink that can be worn alone or over another colour, is highly pigmented and perfect for an every day look!
Thank you for reading poppets! Have any of you tried Kiko’s products? If so, what do you think of them and if not, are you tempted to try them out? Do let me know in the comments and I’d love any recommendations to try out too 😉
