A Nude Lip Gift Guide For The Makeup Lovers

Good evening lovelies and welcome to post number 3 of Blogmas!

I thought tonight I’d do a beauty post on one of my fave things in life –  NUDE LIPSTICKS! And plus what better time to do a whole post on makeup, than Christmas right!? Let’s be honest, everyone loves a nude lippy; and I’ve always thought little makeup bits and bobs make such adorable little Christmas gifts!

So I’ve gathered up my favourite nude lipsticks from my collection and created a little gift guide for you all ♥ All links to shop the products are in the titles below and I’ve included a few lil’ details on every single shade too, so hopefully you get a bit of lippy inspo for gifts for those makeup obsessed friends and family! (Swatches are also below) Enjoy! x

A. Kiko Lip Gloss Pencil in 08 ‘Natural Pink’

This is a beautifully subtle, comfortable wear lip gloss stick that provides gorgeous coverage and colour. It’s a simple, natural pink that will really complement fair-medium skin tones especially.

B. Kiko Lip Gloss Pencil in ’11 Mauve Beige’

A glamourous mauvey – brown shade, this gloss will look gorgeous against medium-dark skin tones. It provides fabulous coverage and shine for a plump looking pout, so is perfect for a night out on the town.

C. NYX Slide On Lip Liner in ‘Nude Suede Shoes’

Guys I absolutely love this lip liner, I think I’d go as far as to say it’s up there in my top 3! It’s a soft pinky nude (and please note, it is more on the pinky spectrum of nude), but would certainly flatter all skin tones! It glides on beautifully creamy and can be applied all over the lips- not just to line! The colour is so gorgeous and natural, it’d be such a shame to waste on just an outline right!? I re-purchase this again and again as I just go through it like it’ll be going out of blinkin’ stock tomorrow- so  I really think it’d make a lovely little Christmas gift for all lipstick lovers!

D. NYX Slide On Lip Liner in ‘Need Me’

This is a lovely deep brown-nude that would really complement medium-dark skin tones. It’s perfect for lining the lips before applying a dark brown or mauve colour and is super creamy so it’s a dreammm to apply!

E. Kiko Creamy Colour Comfort Lip Liner ‘303’

A rosey nude- pink, this comfortable liner is perfect for lining the lips before applying a deep pink or mauve shade lipstick – would be great for those who love a pop of colour!

F. Kiko Creamy Colour Comfort Lip Liner ‘301’

This is a really lovely natural pink shade that can be worn alone for a subtle ‘barely there’ look, or to shape the lips before applying a light nude lip colour (this would complement fairer skin tones fabulously).

G. MAC Satin Lipstick ‘Twig’

With a cushiony satin finish, and medium to full coverage, this muted brownish-pink lippy would make for such a cute gift! It’s a gorgeous pinky – nude that would be so flattering against all skin tones and is super long lasting!

H. MAC Satin Lipstick ‘Brave’

Another satin finish, ‘Brave’ is a pink beige with white pearl (and is definitely more on the ‘pink’ side of things when it comes to nudes). This would be lovely for those who love a colourful lip that’s understated enough to wear every day!

I. MAC Matte Lipstick ‘Velvet Teddy’

A deep-tone beige, ‘Velvet Teddy’ is a gorgeous creamy matte lipstick with high colour payoff and hours worth of wear!

This is my absolute favourite lippy of all time and I can’t even really put my finger on why exactly! It’s just a shade that seems to complement my skin tone really nicely but I know it’s a colour that flatters everyone’s skin in it’s own individual way! So if you’re on the hunt for a nude lippy but aren’t sure on the exact shade for the person’s skin tone- you really can’t go wrong with this one! It’s my go-to!

J. MAC Matte Lipstick ‘Whirl’

‘Whirl’ is another shade in my top 5 favourites, that I think would look especially incredible against medium-dark skin tones, however it would also look gorgeous on fairer skin if you’re wanting a bold effect! Its a dirty rose colour that personally comes up as a very dark brown-nude on myself; so would be suited to those who like an intense look. It’d also be a perfect choice for this time of year, (especially with New Year celebrations following shortly after Christmas), as it’s a lovely wintery nude that can be used again and again!

K. Kiko Matte Lipstick Velvet Passion ‘302’

This is a natural beige-rose shade that will complement all skin tones beautifully. It’s subtle enough to wear every day and is a lovely creamy formula that doesn’t budge! (Perfect for using alongside the Kiko lip liners)…

L. NYX Liquid Suede Liquid Lipstick ‘Soft-Spoken’

Plush and vibrant, this is such a comfortable liquid lipstick to wear on your lips! None of that cracking dryness that we all hate – you can actually talk without it hurting, haha! This is a lovely deep brown-nude with a matte effect; perfect for a night out on the town, and Christmas and New Year celebrations! It’s another one of those nudes that isn’t exactly a natural subtle one, but nonetheless is a gorgeous colour that stands out, so is fab for a bold night time look.

M. NYX Lip Lingerie Nude Matte Liquid Lipstick ‘Bedtime Flirt’

Another matte liquid formula, ‘Bedtime Flirt’ is a beautiful everyday colour for all skin tones, that’s natural enough to include in your daily makeup routine. The pigment is super intense and lasts for hours, so is a great option if you’re unsure what pick for someone for a gift!

And so that’s the end of my ‘Nude Lip Gift Guide!’ Thank you for reading and I hope you’ve found it useful! I’d love to know your thoughts; are you going to be surprising a loved one with a festive lipstick this Christmas? And if so; what are you thinking of purchasing? And if not, are you inspired at all to start hunting down the perfect shade?

C ♥
