Shimmer Me Pink! A Soft & Natural Makeup Look For Christmas Day

11 ♥

Good evening lil’ glitterballs and welcome to my second to last Xmas post of the season!

Tonight I wanted to do a beauty post on some favourites of mine that I just can’t get enough of at the moment! SHOCK HORROR- they’re pink and they’re shimmery. Who’d of guessed, eh? But I will say – they are pretty damn festive and I’ve been using them to create soft, shimmery looks for the party season (that are also natural enough to wear to the office, because who doesn’t wanna sparkle all day every day throughout December right)?

So below I’ve included the links to the products so you can have a little look yourself – and I hope you like! Let me know what you think, and if any of you currently have these products, I’d love to know your thoughts on them! x

Trinket Dish: Next – Pearls: Primark – Ribbon: Hobbycraft  – Pot Eyeshadow: Clarins ‘Silver Pink’ – Highlighter: Bobbi Brown ‘Pink Glow’

Clarins Iridescent Eyeshadow ’05 Silver Pink’

This is a really pretty illuminating ‘cream to powder’ eyeshadow with a pearly finish. It’s amazing to apply and brightens up the eye with a luminous effect. It’s also a perfect balance of silver and pink, so if you’re not a huge pink person, this will be a fab alternative x

A crème shadow in a stick, this is by far the dreamiest eyeshadow I’ve ever owned! It’s formula is incredibly creamy and luxurious, making it super easy to apply and blend! I honestly haven’t ever come across anything like it! The shade ‘Misty Rock’ is a really pretty silver mauve- pink which creates a beautiful, soft glam look and will flatter all eye colours! I love to use it all over my lid and under the waterline to give a light reflective glimmer whilst looking subtle and natural. It’d be a fab base for a powder eyeshadow to be applied on top but is just as lovely on it’s own. I believe this product comes in 12 amazing shades so do click the link above and check them out! x

Bobbi Brown Highlighter ‘Pink Glow’

A customer favourite, (and also my absolute favourite by far) – this is a light-reflective powder that gives a gorgeous, pink glow. Now the word  ‘pink highlighter’ probably terrifies a lot of people, but don’t be put off by the name as it’s not really how it sounds! It’s actually just a subtle powder that provides a hint of pearly pink, giving a gorgeous healthy glow to your face. It can be built up to achieve your desired effect, but a little goes a long way! It’s the best highlighter I’ve ever got my mitts on and I’d highly recommend to everyone! x

Too Faced ‘Natural Eyes’

Too Faced ‘Natural Eyes’ palette

Another firm favourite of mine, this palette has a perfect selection of matte and shimmer shadows, so you can easily switch from day to night makeup in just a few minutes! nOW I’ve had this palette for a good couple years – (as you can see this is the old Too Faced ‘Natural Eyes’ packaging- aka. a small sized, hard tin) which is quite different from the new design (click the link above to see what I mean). I am not entirely certain as to whether the new design has changed the formula of the eyeshadows but as far as I’m aware the shades have remained very similar.

A mixture of matte nudes, shimmer pinks and glitzy golds, this is the perfect palette to use for some wintery glam looks! Whether you prefer to stick to neutral nude shades or go mad with a bit of shimmery gold here and there, this palette will create endless looks for the holiday season! See below for the natural, pink look I’ve been creating quite a bit at the moment and let me know what you think! x

So is anyone going to be quickly adding these to their Xmas lists?!

Thank you for reading as always chickpeas, I hope you enjoyed! Keep an eye out for my last Xmas post of 2018, which will be live tomorrow!
